Digital Xtra is a registered charity whose goal is for every young person in Scotland to have access to innovative, meaningful, and creative extracurricular computing and AI activities. Since 2016, the charity has supported a wide variety of initiatives and activities for young people across Scotland.

University of the Highlands and Islands
The University of the Highlands and Islands Digital Lend-A-Lab programme gives educators an opportunity to engage learners with digital tech through a variety of micro:bit based activities. The Labs include all the equipment, activities, and training required.
Stromness Academy
Using the Otto DIY robot system, pupils at Stromness Academy in Orkney will build, program, and test their own Otto robots. The inclusion of two new 3D printers will allow participants to also personalise their robots using Tinkercad.
T-Exchange, Moray Makerspace
T-Exchange, Moray Makerspace will host a series of Technology Day Events & Coding Experiences to give young people in Moray, the Highlands, and Orkney opportunities to code.
Stronsay Junior High School
Stronsay Junior High School will lead on the development of after school STEM clubs for the remote, isolated communities on the North Isles of Orkney.
Scottish Council for Development & Industry and BT
This innovative project involves training teachers, particularly those who may have lacked confidence to teach computing subjects, to deliver the Tweety Pi programme – a coding and outdoor learning experience which records activity around a bird table.
Apps for Good
Apps for Good will deliver courses in Aberdeenshire, Highlands, Orkney, and Perth & Kinross teaching young people to build, market, and launch digital products, from apps to IoT devices.
