SUPPORT US
Digital Xtra welcomes support from companies, organisations, and individuals who wish to help young people develop vital computing and AI skills.
We offer several ways to get involved, including one-off donations, a range of partnership packages with associated benefits, in-kind support, and tailored tech experiences.
Digital Xtra is committed to helping young people learn the skills needed to succeed in a digital world regardless of their gender, background, or where they live. This includes both digital skills and meta skills such as creativity, communication, and adaptability which are also essential for today’s careers.
How will young people gain these important abilities particularly if formal computing and AI education routes are limited for them? The answer is to develop a strong ecosystem of informal learning opportunities to engage young people in tech and show them what is possible. This is not to supplant formal learning, but to operate alongside it as informal learning via extracurricular activities has many additional benefits including:
Flexibility around content and subject matter allows learners to think more creatively as assessment and accreditation are not the primary focus - therefore naturally building STEM Capital
Ability to deliver activities in a variety of locations or times which work for young people, their families, and the wider community
Educators and volunteers from other sources such as industry means less reliance on formal teaching while also providing learners with other points of view and career path examples
Extracurricular activities are also a proven way to reach and inspire young people who disengage in a traditional classroom settings
Digital Xtra easily allows businesses, organisations, and individuals to be part of an overarching strategy to improve young peoples’ futures, thus ensuring a larger impact and legacy. If you wish to partner with or support Digital Xtra, you can do so in any of the following ways:
Become a Partner
By partnering with Digital Xtra, you will be enabling meaningful and creative opportunities for young people to learn critical digital and meta skills, thus increasing their ability to succeed later in life. Digital Xtra also offers several other PR and marketing benefits for each Partnership Level.
