Digital Xtra is a registered charity whose goal is for every young person in Scotland to have access to innovative, meaningful, and creative extracurricular computing and AI activities. Since 2016, the charity has supported a wide variety of initiatives and activities for young people across Scotland.

Edinburgh College and Oracle
A innovative project based on popular TV drama series such as CSI and NCSI. Edinburgh College and Oracle have developed a CSI Forensic Investigation course which involves computing, coding and digital media for secondary pupils aged 12 – 16.

Each year the Edinburgh International Science Festival delivers one of Europe’s largest science festivals, a primary school education programme across Scotland and a variety of international programming activities and projects.

Forfar Academy
Forfar Academy has extended its project to work with a cluster of 8 Primary Schools to deliver after school digital skills clubs involved initially in First Lego League
Ian Findlay Design and Troqueer Primary School
This after school club offers one hour coding sessions using Hour of Code to pupils wishing to develop their skills in this area.
Queens Cross Housing Association and Glasgow Kelvin College
A partnership between Queens Cross Housing Association and Glasgow Kelvin College has led to the development of a wide range of workshops, activities and coding experiences for young people aged 9 – 16 years from disadvantaged areas in North Glasgow.
Apps for Good
Apps for Good will deliver courses in Aberdeenshire, Highlands, Orkney, and Perth & Kinross teaching young people to build, market, and launch digital products, from apps to IoT devices.
West Lothian Digital Learning Team
The West Lothian Digital Learning Team will collaborate with three primary schools to offer a Technology and Coding Club for learners in P6-P7 over a six-week period.
Turriff Academy
Turriff Academy is a rural secondary school in Aberdeenshire who will explore the real-world application of drone technology, particularly in a rural setting.
St Thomas Aquinas RC Secondary School
St Thomas Aquinas RC Secondary School in Glasgow will create an all-girls code club to help increase uptake of computing science amongst female students.
St Modan’s High School
St Modan’s High School in Stirling will run a VEX Robotics Club for S1 to S6 learners to compete in the more advanced VEX V5 Robotics Competition.
St Joseph’s RC Primary School
St Joseph’s R.C. Primary School in Dundee will run a Code Club for Gaming and Esports for P5 to P7 learners
St Anthony’s Primary School
The Digital Wizards at St Anthony’s Primary School in North Ayrshire will run lunchtime and afterschool code clubs for P5 to P7 learners.
SSERC
SSERC will support delivery of VEX 123 Coding Clubs across nine primary schools in Fife for P1 to P4 learners.
Skene School
Skene School is a small, semi-rural school in Aberdeenshire who will run Project: Robotic HEARTS for P1 to P7 learners. P6/7 Young Leaders will support the delivery of a series of lunchtime code clubs for their peers and younger learners. Participants will use Minecraft, VEX IQ, and Sphero BOLT+ and indi coding robots.
Scottish Borders Council
Scottish Borders Council will run the Galashiels Cluster Go-Vex Coding and Robotics Project to a cluster of primary schools within the Galashiels area.
