University of the Highlands and Islands
The University of the Highlands and Islands Digital Lend-A-Lab programme gives educators an opportunity to engage learners with digital tech through a variety of micro:bit based activities. The Labs include all the equipment, activities, and training required.
Edinburgh Science Foundation
Edinburgh Science Foundation will deliver activities featuring Marty the Robot across their Primary, Secondary, and Festival channels. Over 4,000 young people across multiple Local Authorities will have a chance to programme Marty to walk, dance, and even navigate an obstacle course.
T-Exchange, Moray Makerspace
T-Exchange, Moray Makerspace will host a series of Technology Day Events & Coding Experiences to give young people in Moray, the Highlands, and Orkney opportunities to code.
Scottish Council for Development & Industry
SCDI's Young Engineers & Science Clubs will provide young people in Glasgow an opportunity to investigate energy usage in their school or home and then use the micro:bit to create a solution to reduce their consumption
University of the Highlands and Islands (UHI)
University of the Highlands and Islands (UHI) will be building on their previous grant awards by developing a ‘Lend a Lab’ digital resource box to share with educators at schools and libraries across northern Scotland as well as with the public at community led science festivals.

Inverness Science Festival
Inverness Science Festival will be engaging over 900 young people in Scotland’s more rural communities including primary and secondary schools and holiday clubs across the north, to host its special coding events.
Scottish Council for Development & Industry
This exciting interdisciplinary project designed for P1 – P4 pupils uses the context of lighthouses to introduce them to various STEM concepts, including electricity, light, sounds and computing science.
University of the Highlands and Islands
This project involves training of primary teachers and school helpers on LEGO Mindstorms by lecturers from University of the Highlands and Islands (UHI) Inverness College helping them to teach computing science skills across the Highlands & Islands region.
Apps for Good
Apps for Good will deliver courses in Aberdeenshire, Highlands, Orkney, and Perth & Kinross teaching young people to build, market, and launch digital products, from apps to IoT devices.
