St Vincent’s Primary School
St Vincent’s Primary School in South Lanarkshire are planning to deliver an exciting Coding Club for P6 and P7 girls.
Craigbank Primary School
Primary 7 pupils at Craigbank Primary School will deliver coding activities for younger pupils at the school using Sphero indis.
Carluke High School
Students at Carluke High School in will take part in a series web development and games development modules focusing on coding and programming.
Scottish Council for Development & Industry
SCDI’s Young Engineers & Science Clubs’ Code versus Climate programme will give educators the kit and training needed to help young people investigate energy usage in their school or home. Participants will then use micro:bits to create solutions to reduce their consumption.
Leadhills Primary School
Pupils from Leadhills Primary School in South Lanarkshire will learn the fundamentals of engineering and coding using the VEX GO construction system. Participants will then use the official VEX GO Competition Field Kit to build and play four themed games.
Edinburgh Science Foundation
Edinburgh Science Foundation will deliver activities featuring Marty the Robot across their Primary, Secondary, and Festival channels. Over 4,000 young people across multiple Local Authorities will have a chance to programme Marty to walk, dance, and even navigate an obstacle course.
Cathkin Primary School
Cathkin Primary School in South Lanarkshire will be offering after school coding clubs for their P1&2 and P5&6 pupils using Marty the Robot, Bee-Bots and Coding Critters.
The Institution of Engineering and Technology
The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) will grow and further develop last year's supported project – FIRST LEGO League Explore for 6–9-year-olds.
Scottish Council for Development & Industry
SCDI's Young Engineers & Science Clubs will provide young people in Glasgow an opportunity to investigate energy usage in their school or home and then use the micro:bit to create a solution to reduce their consumption
New College Lanarkshire
Building on their previous grant award, New College Lanarkshire will continue to grow the VEX Robotics EDR extracurricular programme in Lanarkshire to inspire young people aged 11-16 in coding and robotics.
New College Lanarkshire
New College Lanarkshire will expand their VEX Robotics programme and enable 8 additional teams from secondary schools across Lanarkshire to take part in the VEX Robotics Competition.
Edinburgh International Science Festival
Edinburgh International Science Festival will revisit ten Primary schools in Dumfries & Galloway and South Lanarkshire who took part in last year’s successful LEGO Mindstorms workshops as part of their primary schools outreach programme, Generation Science.
Maxwellton Primary School
Maxwellton Primary School in South Lanarkshire will run the Digi-Buds Lunchtime Coding Club for learners in P5-P7 with additional support needs.
